Next year’s Moscow International Travel and Tourism Exhibition (MITT) will welcome back the regional tourism board of Crete. The event will take place on March 18-21, 2015 in Moscow, Russia.

تمثل MITT تقليديًا بداية موسم السياحة الربيعي والصيف في المنطقة. إنه أكبر وأطول معرض للسياحة والسفر في روسيا ، وواحد من أفضل خمس فعاليات في العالم.

Crete’s Regional Governor, Mr. Stavros Aranoutakis, commented: “The Russian market is one of the most important markets for the Region of Crete. We feel that it is very important to be present in Russia’s leading travel fair in order to promote and highlight the island’s features, meet with Russian tour operators, travel agents, journalists and potential travelers. We can listen to their expectations and feedback from previous travels, and give them all the information and guidance required to optimize their next visit.”

Russian tourist arrivals to Crete have increased by 36% over the last three years. Crete welcomed over 429,000 Russian tourists in the 2014 summer season.

Mr. Stavros continued: “Crete is an island offering the perfect environment for quality relaxation. We have more than 1,000 km of coastline in Crete and more than 500 beaches. We want to give an emphasis on what Crete can offer to potential visitors – it is the island which has numerous activities that one can experience.”

Many destinations will return to the 22nd edition of MITT, including: Azerbaijan, Taiwan, India, Cuba, Costa Rica, Jordan, Jamaica, Egypt, Catalonia, Morocco, Sri Lanka, Fujairah, Spain, Slovenia and many other countries and regions.
